Miguel Clark Mallet is an essayist and fiction writer whose work has appeared in The On Being Project, Potent Magazine, and Stigma Fighters. He began life as a US Army brat, born in Germany and raised for most of his childhood on military bases across the United States and in Panama. These experiences, as well as his African American and Afro Panamanian heritage, have shaped his interests in race, mental health, and spirituality, and his multi-vocal and hybrid approach to storytelling and to language itself.

He has worked as a newspaper reporter and copy editor, a technical editor, a child care worker, a college writing teacher and writing program administrator, a law firm courier, and a running store sales associate. He holds an MFA in fiction and a doctorate in rhetoric and composition.

Mallet currently lives, runs, and writes in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, in the US.
